Gary Roberts - Fairline MenorcaGary Roberts has joined us with the main role of Skipper, Marinero and Owner & Charter Support.
Gary started working in the family Windows Business on Saturdays and in his school holidays from a very early age where he was mainly involved with the manufacture of sealed double glazed units. After leaving school, Gary started fulltime as a window fitter and took a great deal of pride in the job for over six years before moving into the Head Office where he spent the last two years responsible for accounts, payroll and all aspects of running the window replacement company.

His boating career started when Gary's father bought a 27ft Bayliner, berthed at Christchurch in Dorset when he was 10 years old. Whilst a youngster, he had a great deal of fun and gained lots of experience in a 15ft Fletcher sports boat, including launching and retrieval, boat handling in the river and in Christchurch bay as well as towing friends in ringo's and doughnut's.

During the following years, he progressed into handling of the family boats which were Sealine's and Fairline's from 34 ft to 38 ft. His family holidays progressed from ten days in the Solent during the first year of boating, gradually travelling to Plymouth, a number of trips to the Channel Islands and over to France. Later he gained experience on a brand new 20 ft Fletcher and was able to use this in Christchurch bay, The Solent and across to the Isle of Wight. Gary has also taken part in the famous Isle of Wight 'Round the Island Yacht Race'. Later, the boat was trailered out to Menorca for use in the beautiful bays around the Island. Gary's family currently own and run a 37ft cruiser in Menorca. Gary has travelled a lot, places he has visited include Tobago in the Caribbean, Canada where he tried rock climbing, white water rafting and quad biking and also to Barbados where he enjoyed jet skiing. In the last couple of years he has visited Amsterdam and driven a car through France to Le Mans.
Gary is now a Commercially Endorsed Skipper and is fully qualified in First Aid, Sea Survival and VHF Radio. His hobbies include tennis, rugby and golf. Gary's email address is: glr@fairlinemenorca.com
