A Motor Cruising basic competence course of up to 3 days instruction.
This is the minimum qualification required to charter a motor yacht in International waters.  The course covers a specific syllabus, including boat handling, engine checks, safety, anchoring, chartwork, signals, weather conditions and marine collision regulations.
If the course is completed on a vessel under 10 metres in length, then an ICC valid for vessels up to 10 metres will be issued, a course completed on a vessel over 10 metres will be issued with an ICC valid for vessels up to 24 metres in length.
Please Note: This course is only available to British Citizens and Residents of the United Kingdom.

An advanced Motor Cruising course of up to 5 days instruction.
After some practical experience, this course is the next step after the ICC.
The aim is to teach pilotage, navigation, seamanship and boat handling up to the standard required to skipper a motor cruiser safely by day in non-tidal waters with which the student is familiar.

An advanced Motor Cruising course of up to 5 days instruction.
Coastal Skipper is the next step after the Day Skipper Practical course.
This course is for the more advanced motor cruising skipper with ample practical experience to further improve upon their skills and level of ability.
The course consists of skippered passages in a whole variety of situations, concentrating on safety, passage planning, pilotage by day and night, boat handling and emergency situations.
